Welcome to Evolution Sports Nutrition

When you exercise your body must start producing energy much faster than it does during normal activity. The muscles start to contract more strenuously, the heart beats faster to pump the blood around the body more rapidly and the lungs work harder.

Energy is produced by splitting of a chemical bond called Adenosine triphosphate (ATP).This is often referred to as the bodies energy currency. It is produced in every cell of the body from the breakdown of carbohydrate, fat, protein and alcohol -four fuels that are transported and transformed by various biochemical processes into the same product.

Energy is supplied from the four sources mentioned above Carbohydrate, fat, protein and alcohol. When you eat a meal or have a drink, these components are broken down in the digestive system into their various constituents or building blocks, then they are absorbed into the bloodstream. Carbohydrates are broken down into small, single sugar units: glucose, fructose and galactose. Fats are broken down into fatty acids and proteins are broken down into amino acids. Alcohol is mostly absorbed directly into the blood.

The ultimate fate of all four components is to produce energy. When we exercise our bodies need for fuel increases which is why its important to take good quality supplements to maximise the results of training. The Evolution range offers a comprehensive spectrum of products suitable for all athletes for all sports. None of the Evolution range contains any substances banned by the International Olympic Committee.

The Evolution range has been developed using the best quality ingredients available so the taste and solubility are excellent. The range offers outstanding value for money optimising product quality and price.

What s the point putting the hours in training if you buy poor quality supplements? Poor quality proteins are made from low quality protein and adulterated with Lysine. Lysine is the ingredient normally tested by Trading Standards when trying to find out the protein content of a protein powder.

So in order to make the label claim when using low grade protein as the base instead of 90% protein powder they add Lysine to the mix in the quantities normally found in 90% protein powder.

Therefore when tested by Trading Standards it looks as though it is 90% when in fact it’s a lot lower protein content. Lysine testing is relatively cheap to test which is why its used as a bench mark test. If they tested the full amino acid spectrum the cheaper products would fail every time.

We are constantly looking to develop and improve our range as and when new ingredients are available providing there is the science to verify the new ingredient will add benefit to the existing product.

As you browse through this site you will learn about each product and see the formulation in detail so you can decide which products you need to take.
